About my Adventure

On September 26th we depart from Boston to fly into London, England. After spending a few nights there, we will travel to Florence, Italy (the city where the cast of Jersey Shore filmed in Season 4) to check into FUA on September 30th. After a few days to settle in and attend orientation, our first set of classes (Creative Writing and Arts and Places: Renaissance Florence to the Contemporary Metropolis) begin on October 2nd. Those classes continue until October 18th at which point we get a break from school. On October 30th we begin class again and will be only be taking one class; The Florence Food and Culture Experience. This class is a cooking class for non-culinary students, which will be extremely fun!! After the final class ends on November 15th, we then travel to Paris, France until we fly back to Boston on November 18th.
Throughout the trip we hope to travel around Italy to places such as Capri, Naples, Rome, Venice, etc. FUA offers weekend trips and day trips, which will definitely be a lot easier than planning ourselves!! I cannot wait!!
I have spent years dreaming about taking a trip to Italy, tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain, cruising on the back of a handsome Italian man's moped*, and stepping onto the stage pretending to be an Italian pop star; just like Lizzie McGuire did back in 2003.
*disclaimer: I will be smart and safe and will not be getting on any man's moped

After those years of wishing and dreaming, I finally applied and have been accepted to study at Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy for the fall 2018 term. Thankfully I will not be going alone, my roommate (and friend!!) Michaela will be taking the trip with me! We both cannot wait for this amazing adventure!!
