(Continued)
On Saturday evening after running errands, relaxing, and enjoying dinner, (all mentioned in the week 1 post) all of our roommates decided to go out for the night! We had a lot of fun at a local club; Bamboo.

What a fabulous day! Michaela and I woke up early (yuck) and hopped on a train to Pisa! The train ride was a painless 35 minutes and we had an amazing day walking around and exploring. Once off the train in Pisa, we walked 30 minutes (basically straight the whole way) until all of the sudden the leaning tower was right in front of us! There were people everywhere, all with their hands raised in the air to get a photo of them holding up the tower, and of course Michaela and I joined them. We could not have picked a more perfect day, the weather was absolutely gorgeous without being too hot while walking around. It was nice to get out of Florence and see a bit more out-of-city views. After walking around the tower grounds, we went to lunch at a local restaurant where we split a pizza and a prosciutto tortellini dish, which were both absolutely DELICIOUS!!! From there, we walked towards the city center and went into some shops, including the most beautiful H&M I have ever seen in my life. When we got home, we had family dinner with our roommates with included risotto, sausage, peppers, and onions, caprese salad, and bread and oil. It was great!

Monday was a pretty casual day, after classes we went to get groceries, and got our favorite panini (Chicken Best) from Pinos, a shop nearby. Michaela and I each enjoyed our paninis for lunch and then decided to head out to the central market to try to get me a bag, and hopefully a cannoli from a place we heard about. There are TONS of tents, all selling the same items and all with pushy and obnoxious shop keeps. Michaela had purchased the bag I wanted for €25, and one of our roommates got it for €20. I found the bag at the leather market, and although the man started off asking for €75, we told him that Michaela got hers at the river for €15, and to no surprise, he said he could do that. Now I have to go back and get one for mom! Unfortunately we could not find the cannoli place for the life of us, and were sick of being haggled by the merchants on the streets, so we went home to make dinner. Our friend said she would take us another time! We had leftover past and made some new ace to add to it, and had some fresh bread and oil too. Delish!

During out Art class we met at the Bargello National Museum, which was actually closer to our apartment than the classroom so we got a few extra minutes of sleep! Before we met, Michaela and I gave the café right below our apartment a shot and got an iced coffee and pasty for just €2.50!! SO CHEAP, and yummy!
The museum was great, we saw a good amount of Michelangelo's pieces as well as David by Donatello, one of our main studies in class. After classes we went back to our apartment and I took a brief nap while doing some laundry, and then we went for Taco Tuesday with the roommates. We got 5 tacos and a margarita for just €10! Such a steal!

Wednesday after classes, Michaela and I went and got eggplant pizza which was unfortunately some of the worst pizza we have gotten here, although it was not horrible.
At night all of the roomies and I went to Aperitivo at the school restaurant, Ganzo. Aperitivo is very common here and basically you buy a drink and get access to a appetizer buffet. It was just €5 and we all got Aperol Spritz's which is the drink to get around here!

On Thursday we went to the Academia Museum in our Arts and Places course which was great because we got to see David (by Michelangelo). It was much larger than I expected and was definitely cool to see.

Friday we went to the Uffizi Gallery with our Arts and Places course. After classes we went to a library nearby where I got a coffee and worked on a group project with some classmates. The library is gorgeous and has a great view of the Duomo! Towards the end of the day we lost power in our apartment and couldn't figure out how to fix it because we have about 5 different circuit breakers all over the building. Once we finally got it back, Michaela and I made sausage, peppers, and onions for dinner with tortellini. Afterwards we decided to shower and for some reason the water was not working. By the time it got working I had already took a shower from the literal dripping faucet. Then we packed and got ready for our mini weekend trip! Yikes!
